HERE is artificial intelligence, not a person, coach or therapist. It is based on Anthropic’s Claude language model and can make mistakes.
HERE is built local-first: your conversations stay on your device, not on our
servers. This policy says what data exists, where it goes, and for how long.
Who is responsible
HERE is made by Life comes first B.V. Questions about your privacy:
mark@loodsman.com.
No account, no identity
HERE has no sign-up, no e-mail, no name and no login. The only identifier we ever see is a
random install id that the app creates on your device. It reaches our server only while the
usage-data switch is on (Settings › Share anonymous usage data). You can read it in
Settings › The app › Install id.
What stays on your device
Your conversations, the photos you share and HERE’s memory of you (the “relational
field”) are stored only on your device, encrypted at rest (AES-GCM, key in
the device Keychain).
You can take all of it with you (Settings › Your data › Download all my data) and erase
all of it (Delete all my data). We hold no copy to restore.
What is sent when you send a message
To answer you, the app sends to our server, and our server to Anthropic: the message you
write or speak; a photo if you attach one; the recent turns of the conversation and HERE’s
memory of you; the current time and when you first and last spoke to HERE; and your interface
language. With every request to our server, not only a message, the app also tells our server (not
Anthropic) which app version it is. That is the same for everyone on that version and carries no
id.
Our server holds this only while the reply is being generated. It does not store
your messages, photos, conversation or memory. In the same moment Anthropic also
receives the words of the exchange (not the photo) for a second, smaller model call that
updates HERE’s memory; and after the reply, up to four very small calls that judge the reply
with a yes or no — one of them also sees your message. It receives the turns of one
conversation line when HERE gives it a name. Only the makers of HERE can ask it to rewrite
HERE’s memory of a person into another language. Anthropic processes this content solely to
produce those results, under its commercial API terms, and does not use it to train
its models. See Anthropic’s privacy practices at
anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
Where it is processed
Our server runs on Render in the United States (Oregon). Anthropic processes in the United
States, under Anthropic’s commercial terms; the legal basis for this transfer is being
formalised (see our next update). We intend to move our server to an EU region; this page
will say so when it has happened.
Photos
HERE has no access to your photo library. When you attach a photo,
iOS shows its own picker, which runs outside the app; HERE only ever receives the single
image you select. That is why HERE never asks for photo-library permission — there is
nothing to grant. Taking a new photo does use the camera, and iOS asks for that
separately.
The image HERE receives is re-encoded before it is sent, which removes the embedded
metadata — including the GPS location that photos often carry. The place
a photo was taken never leaves your phone.
Voice
If you speak to HERE, your words are turned into text entirely on your device,
using Apple’s on-device speech recognition. The audio never leaves your phone — not to us,
not to Apple. If your device or language can’t do this on-device, HERE asks you to write
instead rather than sending your voice anywhere. HERE does not speak its replies aloud.
Siri and Apple Intelligence
In iOS Settings, under Apple Intelligence & Siri, every app has switches
called “Learn from this App” and “Suggest App”. They are
switched on by default by iOS — for every app, not because HERE asked for it. There is no
setting an app can use to turn them off; they belong to you.
What an app can decide is what it hands over. HERE hands over
nothing. It creates no user activities, defines no Shortcuts or App Intents, and
indexes nothing in Spotlight. So those switches have nothing from HERE to learn from,
whether they are on or off. What iOS may still notice by itself — that you opened the app,
and when — is something the system observes about every app; it never sees anything from
inside HERE.
Usage data
Our server keeps two logs. Neither contains a word of what you or HERE said, and neither
contains your IP address.
A cost and quality log, one line per reply: timestamp, a random id for
the turn, tokens and cost, response time, how many turns the conversation line had, seconds
since your previous turn and since your first, whether a photo was attached, the size of
HERE’s memory in characters, the size of the request and the reply and how long each step on our server took, which parts were in HERE’s instructions for that turn, and — measured by the app and sent along with your next message — how long you waited for the reply, how long saving it took, and whether it was an ongoing line, a new line or your first conversation, which HERE version answered, the app version, and yes/no flags
and counts about the reply computed by our server (for example whether HERE handed the
moment back to you, or whether a message looked like an attempt to extract her
instructions), whether the turn was marked as a test by its maker, and whether the install
belongs to the makers. This line is always written. It carries your install id only
while the usage-data switch is on. A line with the same fields and the same id rule
is also written when a turn fails or is refused. Once a day our server writes one line with
totals about the help panel: how often it was shown, in how many replies there was help text,
and how many turns were counted that day. Counts only, never text, and without any id. Every hour
our server writes one line that counts the requests it received: per address on our server (for
example /chat), per result and per app version, and whether a request came from the app or from
one of our own test scripts. When a request fails or is refused, it also writes a line with the
time, that address, the result and the app version. Counts and fixed values only, never text or
what followed the address, and without any id or IP address.
An events log, sent by the app only while the switch is on: what
happened (for example that a message was sent, a photo was attached, a line was marked as
favourite, or a feature was used), timestamp, whether you spoke or wrote, your interface
language, the length of a message in characters and words — never its text —, the size of a
photo in kilobytes, an opaque id for the line and the turn, how deep the line was, your
yes/no answer to “did this resonate”, and about the reply: which HERE version wrote it,
whether it handed the moment back, whether it ended on a question, counts of style traits,
and a score from 0 to 1 for how well HERE thinks she knows you at that point; on an error
the kind of error; on a favourite the age and size of the line; how long it took to save an exchange on your
device and whether saving succeeded; how long the app took to start, how long loading the
conversation took, how much data it loaded at start (and how much of that was photo
thumbnails) and how many exchanges the conversation holds; when you export, which kind of
export, whether the file was ready, its size in megabytes and how long it took to make; the app version and the
operating system version. Every event carries your install id.
In test builds (TestFlight) the switch is on by default; in the App Store version it is off
until you turn it on. You can change it at any time in Settings. We do not sell this data, we
do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Feedback you choose to send
When you send feedback from the app we store on our server: your note (up to 4,000
characters), your interface language, the app version, and — only if you tick the box
“Send the start of HERE’s answer along” in the feedback window — the start of the HERE reply your
note is about, at most 1,000 characters. The install id is added only while the usage-data
switch is on. Mark and Giorgio, who make HERE, read the feedback to improve her. This is the
only place where words from a conversation can end up on our server, and it happens only
when you choose it. Feedback sent while the switch is off carries no id: it cannot be linked
to you, and for the same reason we cannot find it to delete it.
During the test phase: app builds before the one with the box do not show
it yet; they send the start of the answer along and say so in the feedback window. From the
day every build has the box, our server discards any answer that arrives without it.
When you write to us directly — by message or by mail — we may keep a note of what you
said on the same server, under an alias and without your name, to improve HERE. Write to us
to have it removed.
Security alerts
If a message looks like an attempt to extract HERE’s instructions, our server e-mails us a
notice with the time, the phrase from our own pattern list that matched, and — only while the
switch is on — your install id. Never what you wrote. That mail goes through Resend, an
e-mail service.
Data retention
On your device: until you delete it or remove the app. On our server: at most seven
years, after which it is deleted. Sooner if you ask: when you tap Delete all my data in
Settings, or write to us with your install id, everything under your install id is deleted —
archives included.
Your rights
You can see and take everything HERE holds about you on this device from Settings › Your
data › Download all my data. For the server-side lines under your install id (usage, events,
feedback), write to us with your install id and we send you a copy. You can erase it all:
Delete all my data wipes this device and asks our server to delete everything under your
install id. You can turn the usage-data switch off at any time. You can also write to the
address above. If you are in the EU/EEA you have the right to lodge a complaint with your
data-protection authority.
Age
HERE is rated 18+ in the App Store and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy as HERE evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with
a new “last updated” date.

HERE — Privacybeleid
Laatst bijgewerkt: 9 oktober 2026
HERE is kunstmatige intelligentie, geen persoon, coach of therapeut.
HERE is een product van Life comes first B.V.
Foto’s
HERE leest haar antwoorden
HERE geeft niets
Tijdens de testfase: versies van de app van vóór het vinkje tonen het nog niet;
Hoe lang we gegevens bewaren
Wijzigingen
We kunnen dit beleid bijwerken terwijl HERE verder groeit. Belangrijke wijzigingen zie je hier,

HERE — Informativa sulla privacy
Ultimo aggiornamento: 9 ottobre 2026
quanto tempo.
Chi è responsabile
HERE è un prodotto di Life comes first B.V.
Puoi
leggerlo in Impostazioni › L’app › Install id.
cancellare tutto (Elimina tutti i miei dati).
addestrare i suoi modelli.
Dove vengono trattati
Il nostro server funziona su Render, negli Stati Uniti (Oregon). Anthropic tratta i dati negli
L’immagine che HERE riceve viene ricodificata prima dell’invio, e così vengono rimossi i metadati
HERE non consegna
niente. Non crea attività utente, non definisce Comandi Rapidi né App Intents, e non
indicizza nulla in Spotlight.
l’indirizzo, e senza alcun id né indirizzo IP.
Puoi cambiarlo in qualsiasi momento nelle
Impostazioni.
feedback per migliorare HERE.
I tuoi diritti
› I tuoi dati › Scarica tutti i miei dati.
momento. Puoi anche scrivere all’indirizzo qui sopra.
Modifiche
Potremmo aggiornare questa informativa man mano che HERE evolve.

HERE — Política de privacidad
HERE
HERE es un producto de Life comes first B.V.
memoria que HERE tiene de ti; la hora actual y cuándo hablaste con HERE por primera y por última vez;
No almacena tus
Fotos
HERE no tiene acceso a tu fototeca.
Siri y Apple Intelligence
HERE no entrega nada.
feedback para mejorar HERE.
Cambios
